Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Am Gothensee, I found the tranquility and spa services to be just what I needed to unwind. The serene environment was complemented by access to the sauna, providing a soothing escape after a day of exploration. I enjoyed lounging on the sun terrace with a good book, and the sun loungers by the beach were a perfect spot for soaking in the Nordic sun. While the breakfast was quite basic for 6,50 €, the dinner in the restaurant was a delightful surprise. The home-cooked meals felt comforting after a long day, and the prices were reasonable. The staff were friendly, contributing to the welcoming atmosphere, and I appreciated the spacious garden and picnic area for a leisurely afternoon. I'd recommend this place primarily for German speakers and those traveling by car, as it may not be as convenient for other visitors. It's a chance to escape and embrace the calming beauty of the Nordics, especially if you love nature like I do.
